Pictures on this site are actual examples of smaller domestic work by myself. I specialise in providing affordable, high quality electrical installation work, and electrical condition reports as well as other property needs for the average consumer or business. I also carry out other larger property work/developments as well as commercial installations. Experience of installations on agricultural premises, mobile catering units, hot tubs and many other electrical environments classed as special locations. As a responsible electrician I prefer to provide an electrical service where we discuss your individual requirements and look at what can be achieved within your budget. This provides better satisfaction for yourself, and gives assurance knowing you have had an installation designed to your requirements and financial means whilst maintaining safety and standards. Alternatively we can use our own judgement at your request.
Air Conditioning
Whether a small office, living room or busier restaurant, air conditioning units not only keep the place cool in summer, but most now are heat pumps also and keep it warm in the winter or cold summer days, and are economical using modern technology with improved pumps and inverter technology. For businesses it is a requirement to not have people in uncomfortable environments and to take steps to make it comfortable for working or for purpose. for example not below 16 deg c or 13 deg c where work is strenuous. In restaurant or shop environment it will attract customers who come in if they are cooled when entering from a hot outside or warmed if coming from a cold outside, and will aid in a comfortable eating or shopping environment that will support return custom through an improved experience.
Air conditioning units depend on the are of the room and its purpose as they take heat out and put cold air in it depends a lot on the function of the room also, So a restaurant for instance would need a higher BTU unit than the same size living room due to people and food giving off heat. with shops likely friges or freezers that give off heat also. Cost for units can range from around £600 to £1500 or more for the units themselves depending on preference and requirement also, much more for larger areas, labour is then added as well as pipework and other materials if required, sometimes pipework may come with the unit but will also depend on the length between the condenser and the indoor unit.. Cost of labour can vary considerably but can range from £700 to £1500 depending on requirements, domestic unit single units usually £700 to £1000.
Payments for materials are required to be paid upfront as well as 50% of the labour, with the 50% remainder being paid upon completion. It should be noted that sometimes materials can be required in terms of building fabrication issues requiring materials and such things cant be anticipated but whilst not always the case awareness of the need for payment for continuation of work where things crop up needs specifying where such things are required.
Maintenance can be carried out if wishing to contract as such to help towards ensuring performance, and repairs can be carried out where able.
All work is in written contract.
Technical requirements
All installs require pressure leak testing with nitrogen, and also vacuum testing to remove impurities in the pipework, without doing so the life of the unit will be greatly diminished as impurities over time will form acids with the refrigerant oil and degrade the system considerably, effecting performance and lifespan. small particles can also cause issues in the compressor and capillary pipework. You will receive an electronic report of both pressure testing and vacuum testing.
The condenser unit is sealed and filled at the factory and falls under manufacturer guarantee as does the indoor unit. Company warranty is for installation and pipework with appropriate testing.
Gallery of Small Miscellaneous Work
